About

Most CRMs make you bend your business to fit their object model. That is the constraint I spend a lot of my consulting life working around, and it is why Attio ended up in my stack.

I run The Agile Good Life, a fractional RevOps and operations practice for small B2B teams, nonprofits, and founder-led companies. My starting question is never which tool. It is what does this team actually do, in what order, and who owns each handoff. The data model comes out of that answer. When the model is right, adoption stops being a training problem.

A recent Attio build makes the point. A nonprofit came to me on a CRM that could not represent the thing their work revolves around: the donor relationship over time. Contacts and companies were not enough. In Attio we designed a custom Donor Record object sitting alongside Person, then built a Zapier integration that keeps it current from their donations platform. Lifetime giving, gift count, average donation, first and last gift, recurring status, and donor anniversary all land on the record automatically. Their team stopped exporting reports to answer basic questions.

That build was possible because Attio let the object structure follow the process instead of the other way around. Small teams with unusual data shapes are exactly who I want to bring here.
